Phillip Austin was born on May 29, 1986 in the small Arkansas town of Crossett. He first discovered his love for music as a child singing in church. However, it wasn’t until age fifteen when he met his high school chorus teacher, Twyla Hurst, that he realized his musical talent. Since then, he carried his passion for music into his college career and joined a Christian singing group at William Carey University. As a part this group, Phillip was given many opportunities to sing around the world, including India and China. Since graduating from William Carey, Phillip continued his education at the University of South Alabama in Mobile by obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Although he has embraced his call to nursing, and continues to further his nursing career by obtaining his Nurse Practitioner degree, Phillip’s passion for music has grown and becoming a Country Music artist has become the main focus of his future career.
